 Olivia Aguiar and I painted our first collaborative 3’x11’ painting together for the Plumb bar’s show, “Ghost Bodies”. From October 25-November 24th, 2024.

Our painting starts off with a séance table - serving as both a tribute and a seance in itself to communicate to our departed loved ones. These tables, often laden with the weight of stories, whispers, and unfulfilled dreams, symbolize the intersection between the living and the dead, inviting reflection on legacies, baggage, and spiritual trauma.

In this exploration, we confront the fragility of our collective memory and the enduring impact of those who have been omnipresent in our identities. Through the act of painting, we create a bar scene / seance space where past and present coexist, encouraging viewers to consider their own ancestral connections and the ghosts that linger within their own histories.
